I like to shop.
What's more important to me though is I like to get a good deal. Now, that "good deal" might be getting a product on clearance, at a price where I'm guessing someone somewhere is losing money. But, more often than not, I like it when the products I purchase are worth the price I paid. That's a good deal to me. I can be extremely frugal - my husband calls it "cheap" - or, I can be extremely loose-walleted if it's something that I really feel deserves spending the extra money.
The question then becomes - when are products worth the money?
We see ads on TV, but you know that someone was paid to smile and say that the Handy Dandy Wipe and Save is the best thing since sliced bread. We know that when they're shooting commercials they get multiple takes and can carefully control the situation to make sure that Super Duper Sucking Vacuum looks like it'll clean your floors in no time. But, do they really work like that in real life?
Even other "review" sites are sometimes questionable. Sometimes good products get a bad wrap because the person didn't read the instructions. Sometimes not-so-good products have paid people to go to review sites to post fake positive reviews. This is where I come along.
This site will review products I love - and those I hate. Unbiased. No bullshit.
If I don't like a product, I'm going to ask someone else to give it a try for me and give their honest opinion - just to make sure my dislike wasn't due to "operator error". I do want to be fair. I will NEVER except payment for a review of a product. However, if you have a product you'd like reviewed, please contact me and I'll forward you details on how to get it on the site. As you can guess though, just because you submit a product, it doesn't mean your review will be favorable. It will be nothing but my honest opinion.
I also hope to update past reviews. Again, this is where I think most product review sites fail. People buy a product and are in love with it and write a review, but 6 months later something goes wrong and they never mention it to the virtual community who are still using their positive review as a reference.
Lastly, please remember the opinions on this website are just that - opinions. I am neither selling, endorsing or telling you never to buy a product. I take no responsibility in your use or misuse of the product. Read the instructions, follow the directions, etc., etc. And, should you have any questions specifically about the product - and not my experience - please contact the manufacturer directly. I hate to have to add that disclaimer, but there are those 6 people in the world that also need labels on buckets telling them not to fill them with water and stick their heads in it. *sigh*
